SOLID BODY GUITAR SUPPORT JIG WITH NECK CAUL
The jig is made from solid beech and provides a strong benchtop guitar support for fretting and repairs.
 
The narrow design ensures that only a small amount of benchtop space is taken up - 600mm x 70mm (26" x 3"). The jig can be re-orientated for access all around the guitar and is transportable as a complete unit.
 
It is also suitable for use in a fret press. Both neck caul and body support are adjustable providing maximum support for the body, neck and join. The jig is designed for solid body guitars including, strat types, les pauls and SG's etc. It is not suitable for thicker bodied guitars. NECK SUPPORT CAUL
The neck support has a soft cork covering and is 250mm (10") long. The support features a curved recess for locating the neck profile. The shallow depth of the recess centralises the neck, whilst providing good support with access to the sides of the fretboard and fret ends. The neck support is located on 4 precision bars and height adjustment is made by adjusting 2 screw jacks.
 
SOLID BODY GUITAR SUPPORT
The solid body guitar support is made from sealed marine plywood and covered with firm neoprene foam that provides cushioning for the guitar body and flexibility for a neck fixing plate. The support features a pivot underneath for adapting to the neck angle and 2 screw jacks for locking the angular position.
 
SET UP PROCEDURE
Screw all 4 jacks to their lowest positions.
Place the guitar on the jig and adjust the 2 neck screw jacks for best support along the caul. (The body support angle will self adjust).
Extend the remaining 2 screw jacks under the body support after the neck adjustment has been made.
Important: When setting up a new instrument always screw the jacks fully down and use the above procedure rather than adjusting away from an existing setup.
