DESCRIPTION
The guitar neck press is available as a complete system with full set of fret cauls and neck support, or as a basic fret press enabling fret cauls to be purchased as required.
Please note that the neck must be detached from the instrument as the press unit will not span the full width of a guitar body.
PRESS SPECIFICATION
Screw Operated Press Mechanism.
Extruded Aluminium Support Posts.
Oak Top Brace With Caul Guides.
Max Opening Height To Underside of Fret Caul - 75mm.
Width Between Support Posts - 160mm.
18mm Thick Hardwood Marine Ply Base With Rubber Feet - 400mm x 250mm.
ASSEMBLY
The press is supplied flat packed for shipping.

The base is attached using 2x8mm socket countersunk screws fastened from the underside. We recommend using a vice to clamp the top brace when assembling.

PRESS POSITION
The press can be mounted in 3 separate positions depending on working preference.

USE FOR OTHER NECK TYPES
The press can be adapted for use on other neck types including multiscales & bass guitar necks subject to a maximum fret length of 75mm and incorporation of a suitable neck support.
The maximum opening height is 75mm.

Width between support posts is 160mm.

FULL LENGTH NECK CAUL (SUBJECT TO PRESS OPTION)
The overall neck caul size is 58mm wide x 45mm high x 495mm long. The felt covering and rounded shoulders cushion the neck profile. The stepped section of the caul safeguards the support underneath the neck when fretting over the transitional profile at the heel.
The neck caul is also available for purchase separately.

GROOVED CAULS
These can be purchased from the separate grooved caul product details.
FLAT CROSS SECTION CAULS
These can be purchased separately from the DIY fret press page.
