NECK CAUL

Made from high quality oak and covered with soft felt, the caul supports the full length of the guitar neck including the heel. The felt extends to the outside of the caul for adaptability to different neck sizes.

The stepped section of the caul safeguards the support underneath the neck when fretting over the transitional profile at the heel. Two thin rubber strips are included for placing underneath the heel of thinner necks.

The underside of the neck caul block is machined with a 3mm taper on thickness over its full length. This is to cater for the neck thinning towards the headstock and to keep the pressing height constant.

The included caul is designed for use with 6-string guitar necks. A caul suitable for 7-string guitars can be supplied as an alternative.

NECK CAUL SLIDER BLOCK

Machined from beech, the caul slider block ensures smooth transfer and alignment of the frets.

SIMPLE CAUL CHANGEOVER

Wind the screw fully down and remove the caul from the retaining collar. Alternatively, pull the caul and retaining collar downwards to remove both parts from the end of the screw. (The collar is retained on the screw via an internal spring clip). (See video).
