UNIQUE FEATURES
The file can be adjusted for producing any fret bevel angle from 0 to 35 degrees.
The file is mounted in a durable nylon bar that is rotated and clamped in position for the bevel angle required.
The round bar provides a small void over the fret corner for the sharp burrs to pass through. This reduces build up of filings and compaction on the tool surface.

The variable angle feature is useful where strings encroach the fret ends and a steeper angle is necessary to avoid string roll off
The file angle can be locked in any position. A graduated end plate provides angular reference in 5 degree increments.

The file depth is adjustable allowing use over the guitar body. Allen head socket screws are provided to adjust the file extent and to clamp the file in position.
The tool features a hand finished oak mounting block that is comfortable to use.
The underside of the block has a machined radius for smooth travel over the frets ensuring a consistent bevel angle.

The nominal tool length is 5" (127mm).
FILE DETAIL
The file grade is 2nd cut smooth, suitable for alloy and stainless steel frets, providing high removal rate combined with a good finish. The file corners are rounded at both ends.
RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE
Use a shallow angle for filing flush @ 0-5 degrees. Then adjust to 20-25 degrees for a secondary cut. A final dress at the preferred angle can then be made. After each use, brush away any filings from the file and holder.
