FRET BEVELING FILE - Adjustable Angle From 0 to 35 Degrees

VARIABLE ANGLE
The file is mounted in a thermoplastic bar that can be rotated for producing any fret bevel angle from 0 to 35 degrees.
A graduated end plate provides angular reference in 5 degree increments.
The variable angle feature is useful in situations where strings approach the fret ends, allowing for a steeper bevel angle to prevent string roll-off.
ADJUSTABLE DEPTH
The file protrusion can be adjusted from 2.5mm, which is safe for use over the guitar body, to 5.5mm, ensuring even wear distribution. Additionally, it can be turned over to prolong its lifespan.
GUIDE BLOCK
The guide block's underside features a machined radius to ensure smooth movement over the frets and maintain a consistent bevel angle. The guide block is made from oak and hand finished for comfortable grip.
FILE DETAIL
The file grade is 2nd cut smooth, suitable for alloy and stainless steel frets. One edge is rounded on both sides to safely work over the guitar body, while the other edge has square corners with untouched file teeth, allowing for alternative uses.
The nominal file dimensions are 135mm (5.25") long x 15mm wide x 4.2mm thick.
RECOMMENDED BEVELLING METHOD
File ends flush using a shallow angle. Then adjust to 20-25 degrees for a secondary cut. A final dress at the preferred angle can then be made. After each use, brush away any filings from the file and holder.
