New Soundboard Support - Available soon in the Webstore.

See the demonstration below of our new soundboard brace support for safely pressing frets over the guitar body. Suits all traditional acoustic guitar sizes.

Includes a Fretboard Clamp Strap & Tongue Support.

FRETBOARD CLAMP STRAP

The clamp strap keeps the guitar neck firmly seated on the neck caul and stops the guitar being lifted when the tongue support is adjusted.

FITTING THE MOUNTING RAILS

Remove the cover plates on each side of the bridge. The rails slot into the cross beam and are secured using the allen head socket screws.

FITTING THE TONGUE SUPPORT

(Before fitting the tongue support, the caul should be aligned above the fret and the workstand clamps tightened to ensure there is no movement of the guitar during pressing).

Hook the support underneath the end of the fretboard.

Apply light pressure to the underside of the tongue by turning the silver knob.

Tighten the lower thumb nut to lock the support onto the rails.

For reference, the soundhole in the illustration is 85mm diameter.

Turn the handle and press in the fret.

After pressing each fret, remove the tongue support from the rails before proceeding with any further work.
