The jig provides a simple solution for securely clamping a shaped neck allowing for access to all sides of the headstock and heel. The jig also converts into a rocking neck rest, for regular guitar maintenance and setups.
The jig comprises of 2 halves:- A felt covered clamp caul and a grooved rubber base.
The halves are made from beech and clamped together using 2 allen screws. The neck caul has a felt covered profile for protection around the back of the neck. The clamp base has a grooved surface to protect the fretboard crown with flex to allow for the frets.
The jig is designed for use in a bench vice. A jaw opening of 100mm (4") will permit the jig to be orientated as demonstrated in the photographs.
