MULTIPLE SCALES CATERED FOR:-

The unique design of the notch spacing allows the tool to be used on the following popular guitar scales : 24", 24.5", 24.5625", 24.625", 24.75", 24.84", 24.9", 25.0", 25.34", 25.4", 25.5", 26", 26.25", 26.5", 27", 630mm, 635mm, 640mm, 645mm, 650mm, 660mm & 670mm.

Multiscale guitars within 24.5" to 27" range can also be checked.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES:

1) PRECISION STRAIGHT EDGE - 400mm Long. For precision tasks including checking fret levels.

2) ANTI-TIP - This prevents the tool from toppling over, allowing it to remain positioned on the neck during setup and adjustment, & provides real time observation of changes to the guitar neck and relief. (The Anti-Tip can be used with or without strings fitted).

TOOL DESIGN

The design of the tool is based on only checking the length of the fretboard that is capable of being deflected. The highest frets past the neck join are omitted as these aren't affected by truss rod adjustment. This reduces the number of effective notches to 18 and the innovative spacing enables the tool to be used over a much wider range of guitar scales.

POSITIONING ON THE GUITAR NECK

A double dot mark for position reference is provided at the 12th notch.

The positioning on the guitar neck will vary depending on the scale of the instrument:-

For 24" scale the dots are placed at the 11th fret.

For 24.5"- 25.5" range, the dots are positioned at the 12th fret.

For longer scales the dots are placed at the 13th fret.

NOTE - 24" SCALE GUITARS WITH ZERO FRET

For this scale the tool bridges over the nut and is not suitable for 24" scale guitars that feature a zero fret due to the extended nut position on the instrument. If in doubt, please contact us with your requirement so that we can confirm suitability of the tool.
