MULTIPLE SCALES THROUGH INNOVATIVE TOOL DESIGN
Our guitar notched edge tools are designed to assess the length of the fretboard that can be deflected. The highest frets are excluded, since these are past the neck heel, where the fretboard is unlikely to be affected by truss rod adjustments.
This approach minimises the number of notches required, and the notch spacing design enables the tool to be used for any guitar scale, that falls within the specified tool range.
PRECISION IN-HOUSE MANUFACTURE
The notched straight edges are machined in-house using specialised carbide tooling. The edges are finished with ultra fine grit abrasive over a precision surface table.
POSITIONING ON THE GUITAR NECK
The positioning of the tool on the guitar neck will depend on the scale of the instrument.
Small double dot holes for position reference are provided.
For 24" scale the dots are placed at the 11th fret.
For 24.5"- 25.5" range, the dots are positioned at the 12th fret.
For longer scales the dots are placed at the 13th fret.
DETACHABLE STEADY FOOT
Allows the tool to remain on the neck without tipping over and can be used whether or not strings are fitted.
NOTE - 24" SCALE GUITARS WITH ZERO FRET
For this scale the tool bridges over the nut and is not suitable for 24" scale guitars that feature a zero fret due to the extended nut position on the instrument. If in doubt, please contact us with your requirement so that we can confirm suitability of the tool.
